Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD: Powerful, All-Wheel Drive, Arrives Autumn 2025

Discover the new Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD, Vauxhall’s first electric all-wheel-drive SUV, delivering 325PS, up to 311 miles range, and arriving Autumn 2025.

Conquering New Terrain: The Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD Arrives This Autumn

Vauxhall is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the Grandland Electric AWD — the brand’s first fully electric all-wheel-drive vehicle — expected to arrive in UK showrooms this Autumn 2025. This new top-tier Grandland model marks an exciting milestone, combining enhanced performance, innovative technology, and zero local emissions, with an impressive range of up to 311 miles (WLTP).

Building on the success of the existing Grandland lineup, which already offers both hybrid and electric powertrains, the Grandland Electric AWD introduces a new level of capability and versatility. It pairs a 213PS electric motor at the front with a 112PS motor at the rear, delivering a combined output of 325PS and 509Nm of torque. This powerful setup accelerates the SUV from 0-62mph in just 6.1 seconds, offering a dynamic driving experience with the added confidence of all-wheel drive.

The vehicle is powered by a 73kWh usable battery, which can be rapidly charged from 20% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes using a compatible rapid charger. This makes the Grandland Electric AWD ideal for those seeking both long-range capability and convenient charging times.

Vauxhall Managing Director, Steve Catlin, commented:
“Our top-of-the-range Grandland SUV is a milestone for Vauxhall, having proven very popular since we opened the order books last August. Customers already have the choice of fully electric or hybrid powertrains, and now we are expanding that offering with the Grandland Electric AWD. The new all-wheel drive addition ensures that our customers can enjoy maximum efficiency and safety in diverse weather and road conditions, combined with plenty of driving fun.”

The Grandland Electric AWD also introduces several design and technology enhancements. Exclusive aerodynamic features include 20-inch two-tone aero wheels and refined bumper inserts that give the SUV a distinctive presence on the road. Sustainability remains a key focus, with design details such as the illuminated Griffin badge and rear “VAUXHALL” lettering now embossed rather than chrome-plated, supporting Vauxhall’s commitment to a greener future.

Drivers can tailor their experience with four distinct driving modes: Normal (primarily front-wheel drive), AWD (engaging both motors for maximum traction), Sport (for enhanced dynamic performance), and Eco (optimizing energy efficiency). The Grandland Electric AWD also benefits from frequency selective damping, a sophisticated system that adjusts suspension firmness to improve comfort over rough surfaces while maintaining agility during spirited driving.

While exact pricing details are yet to be confirmed, UK sales will commence later this year, with first deliveries planned for Autumn 2025.

The Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD reinforces the brand’s ambition to offer customers a versatile, sustainable, and exhilarating SUV experience — proving that electrification and all-terrain capability can go hand in hand.
