Vauxhall has unveiled an exciting update for the Long Range version of the Corsa Electric, enhancing its range to an impressive 266 miles on a single charge. This 14-mile boost is the result of groundbreaking improvements to the battery’s cell chemistry and the vehicle’s motor, ensuring a more efficient driving experience that sets the Corsa Electric apart from its competitors.
With these latest updates, the Corsa Electric Long Range now provides even more freedom on the road, making it an even more compelling option for those looking to embrace the future of driving. Thanks to advancements in the nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery technology, along with revisions to the motor that reduce energy consumption, Vauxhall has managed to push the Corsa Electric’s range to new heights.
The Corsa Electric Long Range’s new 266-mile range surpasses rivals like the Renault 5, which offers 252 miles from a larger 52kWh battery, and the Hyundai Inster, which delivers 229 miles from its 49kWh pack. Vauxhall’s commitment to enhancing efficiency has paid off, providing an impressive range that makes the Corsa Electric an even more attractive proposition for drivers seeking long-lasting performance in an electric car.
In addition to the extended range, Vauxhall has introduced a highly innovative vehicle-to-load (V2L) feature in the updated Corsa Electric. This enables the car to supply power to external devices at up to 3.6kW and 16A, adding an exciting layer of functionality to the car. The updated Long Range Corsa Electric will be available starting at £28,900—£1,395 more than the standard version. With its new range capabilities and added features, the Corsa Electric continues to deliver exceptional value. The regular Corsa Electric version, offering a 134bhp motor and 221 miles of range, remains available starting at £27,505. In addition, some slight price adjustments across other trim levels reflect Vauxhall’s continued investment in enhancing the customer experience and providing even more advanced technology.
Deliveries for the new Corsa Electric Long Range will begin in May, bringing Vauxhall’s vision of electric driving closer to reality for more customers.
