Vauxhall Grandland Wins ‘Best EV Medium SUV’ at the 2025 Great British Fleet Awards
Vauxhall is celebrating a major accolade at this year’s Great British Fleet Awards, with the fully electric Vauxhall Grandland named ‘Best EV Medium SUV’ for 2025. The award highlights the Grandland’s blend of real-world range, fleet-ready practicality, and state-of-the-art electric technology.
Hosted annually, the Great British Fleet Awards honour innovation and excellence in the fleet and mobility sectors. This latest recognition cements Vauxhall’s position as a leader in electric vehicle (EV) solutions for business and fleet operators across the UK.
Judges commended the Grandland Electric for its impressive 325-mile WLTP range, spacious interior, and cutting-edge features, all delivered at a highly competitive price point. The model’s 73kWh battery, 213hp electric motor, and standard-fit heat pump were also highlighted as contributing factors to its class-leading efficiency.
“Vauxhall is winning lots of admirers with its growing number of electric models, with price parity with ICE versions being a big part of the attraction,” said the judges. “Grandland is a well-equipped, capable and affordable option for fleets – with all of the three trims coming in under the £40,000 ‘expensive car supplement’ threshold. That is sure to win many admirers in what is a competitive market.”
Eurig Druce, Managing Director at Vauxhall, commented on the win:
“The Vauxhall Grandland being recognised as the Best EV Medium SUV at the Great British Fleet Awards showcases our dedication to engineering vehicles that not only meet the rigorous demands of fleet operators but also provide a fantastic driving experience. The Grandland’s combination of extended range, exceptional practicality, and advanced technology firmly establishes it as a leader in the competitive electric SUV segment. For fleets looking to make the switch to electric, the Grandland delivers everything they need. I’d like to extend my thanks to the judges for this accolade."
The Grandland Electric supports rapid charging with 160kW DC capability, allowing for an 80% charge in around 30 minutes — a key advantage for busy fleet operators. Inside, drivers are treated to a high-tech, driver-focused cockpit, with a 10-inch touchscreen on Design trim, and a larger 16-inch display on GS and Ultimate models.
Advanced features include Intelli-Drive 2.0, Vauxhall’s most sophisticated driver assistance system, offering Semi-Automated Lane Change, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Change Assist. GS and Ultimate trims also come with Intelli-Lux Pixel HD headlights, delivering exceptional illumination and safety.
In terms of design, the Grandland boasts Vauxhall’s distinctive 3D Vizor front grille, sleek aerodynamic lines, and a generous 550 litres of boot space, with 35 litres of additional interior storage — ideal for both business and family use.
The award adds to Vauxhall’s growing reputation as a leading EV brand. The company now offers a fully electric version of every car and van in its line-up, as part of its commitment to a net-zero future and making EV ownership more accessible across the UK.
